SELF-PROTECTION FOR STUDENTS
---------------------------------------
Our work within Upper schools and sixth form centres pertains to issues of personal safety and in particular those issues most relevant to year 12 and 13 students preparing to leave school for university, work or more vocational orientated courses.
At present the Self-protection Network is dedicated to ensuring complete forethought to issues facing students whilst at school or on campus and enlightening undergraduates to various concerns they may encounter away from home. This module attempts to teach awareness, anticipation and avoidance through the use of various statistics (derived from the British Crime Survey and other more specific studies), recent case studies brought to our attention through the media and issues raised in respect to self-defence, law and order.
As a parent you can feel safe in the knowledge that all Self-protection Network/Tokon Academy instructors have passed an enhanced CRB check, are fully qualified to teach our specific syllabus and are full insured.
