FEMALE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS 4 REALITY (F.E.A.R.): Drink:Safe

Ask any woman what her worse fear is. It is probable that the answer will be the notion or idea of being confronted by a rapist!

Put yourself in that position and imagine being in a state of partial consciousness, with little or no motor control, in a confused intoxicated state and waking up with little or no recollection of what occurred 8-10 hours prior. As frank and as scary as this may seem, unfortunately this is what happens to many women who succumb to having drinks, food even cigarettes 'spiked' - the date rape phenomenon!

Our ' Drug-related rape ' module attempts to highlight this concern and make women aware of its potential to become a nationwide epidemic. As with all our modules the session will be frank and to the point and offer a rudimentary lesson in personal awareness, drug-awareness, target-hardening and protection advice. Various devices and their pro's and cons will be discussed as well as the divulging of several case studies from which attendees my learn where victims have fallen foul in each case. Samples of devices may be handed out to the audience and various further points of reference/contact will be provided.
